Tandoori Breast | SHICKEN

This is SHICKEN breast with depth.

Whole pieces, gently marinated and layered with mellow spice. The kind of flavour that settles in, not hot, but warm, rounded, and remarkably tandoori. The texture is solid, the aroma is rich, and ready to sit proudly at the centre of the plate.

Serve it with rice, fold it into flatbread, or enjoy it as it is.

SHICKEN PIECES

FLAVOUR PROFILE

Sweet, grassy, fresh, tender.

GOOD STUFF

Plant protein, fibre, vitamin C, vitamin K.

Soya

The protein heavyweight, soya brings very very serious SHICKEN plant based substance!

Goodness

Soya is widely recognised as a high quality plant protein because it contains all essential amino acids in useful amounts.

WHERE DOES IT GO?

FLAVOUR PROFILE

The base bearing for all other spices,  clean & satisfying.

GOOD STUFF

Complete plant protein, essential amino acids.

Red Lentils

Goodness

Red lentils are one of those ingredients that do a lot without making a huge fuss that normally go unnoticed. They bring a soft, earthy flavour and a naturally hearty texture, while also contributing plant protein and fibre. Lentils also contain minerals and vitamins such as iron and folate, nutrients recognised for roles including normal red blood cell formation and energy metabolism when consumed in sufficient amounts.

Tomatoes

Goodness

Tomatoes bring that bright balance of sweetness, acidity and savoury depth that makes food feel properly cooked. They also contain vitamin C and lycopene, the red carotenoid pigment often associated with tomatoes and tomato based foods. Lycopene is widely studied as a naturally occurring plant compound and give SHICKEN sauce that unique colour.

Goodness

Their strongest role in the recipe is flavour development, a hint of sweetness, a bit of savoury depth and the secret of “something’s been cooking properly” effect.

WHERE DOES IT GO?

FLAVOUR PROFILE

GOOD STUFF

Coriander

Goodness

Coriander is here mainly for flavour, and honestly, that is more than enough. It brings a fresh, citrus like lift that cuts through richer sauces and spices, making the whole bite feel brighter. Like many herbs, it contains naturally occurring plant compounds, but in real recipe amounts its biggest job is aroma & balance.

Goodness

Kidney beans bring body, bite and a very satisfying texture. Nutritionally, they contribute plant protein, fibre, iron and potassium, making them a useful ingredient in plant based cooking. You May Wonder🤔

I wish all vegan chicken had our flavour!

I know vegan chicken and meat alternatives do not always have the best reputation, but ours is different (let me convince you).

Our meals are made in our own kitchen using our 80 year old family recipes, have won three Great Taste awards, and can be found in Costco, Morrisons and other stores across the UK, Europe and the US.

Give them a try, start with our bestselling Tikka Kebab Skewers (very rich Tikka flavour), then add a Butter Curry (creamy & comforting) too.

I can’t decide for you. But I can tell you a story we now call:

“cheat on chicken”

The reactions that surprise us most often come from meat eaters.

“Can’t believe the texture and flavour.”

“Wait, this is plant-based?”

A few years ago, at an exhibition in Canada 🇨🇦, two men walked past our stand. One (who claimed to hate plant-based food!) looked at the food and said:

“Is this plant-based? Must be horrible.”

He had eaten meat his whole life, so Satvinder handed him a freshly cooked Tikka Kebab.

He tried one, still muttering “disgusting”.

Then he took another.

After a few silent seconds, he looked at us and said:

“I feel like I’ve cheated on my wife.”

We had to ask why.

He explained that it tasted so close to meat, with so much flavour, that eating it felt like cheating on everything he had always known.

A bizarre comparison, yes. But the phrase has stayed with our team ever since.

That is what SHICKEN aims to do: make food that vegans and meat eaters can enjoy around the same table.

SHICKEN might not save the day, but it can certainly save the meal!

In London — let’s say Shoreditch — a curry can cost around £11.95, sometimes closer to £15. Add service charge, transport and all that walking, and dinner can easily reach £30. Ouch!

Our curries are £4.99, and our kebab skewers work out at around £1.30 each before discounts. Buy a bulk pack with a discount & seasonal offer, though, and it can work out at

A curry £3, each kebab roughly 75p!

We send out vouchers regularly too, so sign up to our newsletter.

Keep a few in the freezer (also: our meals are suitable for home freezing, 12+ months life!), pop them in the microwave or oven, and dinner is done in around 10 minutes.

We offer a replacement guarantee if anything arrives damaged in transit.

Send us two or three photos showing:

  1. The damaged item
  2. A clear photo of the delivery label
  3. The outer delivery box, if it is also damaged

No, you don’t need to. Cook it straight from frozen! Curry ready in 7 and kebabs ready in 20!

Absolutely. Our meals. kebabs, curries, pieces, desserts and more, are really versatile. Serve them on a platter, with rice, naan, chutney, salad or whatever else you fancy.

And yes, you can claim you made them. Remember to hide the packaging!

Imagine cooking a big batch for a market, a gathering or the freezer. You sear the ingredients, add cumin and other spices, simmer everything, pack it up, chill it and freeze some for later.

Technically, that is processed. But processed does not automatically mean unhealthy. Washing, cooking, packing, chilling and freezing can all help with safety, shelf life and affordability.

Our Tikka Kebabs, for example, are low in sugar and saturated fat, with no artificial flavouring.

We use soya and peas for natural protein, along with our spice blend for that rich tikka flavour. Healthy, yummy and convenient!

Our meals are carefully balanced with spice. Most have a gentle heat, and you can shop by spice level to find your favourite, whether that means you prefer something sweet and rich, deeply savoury or like it properly HOT 😊!

These products are super tasty, not too hot, but well spiced, and the vegan chicken is succulent.

Oh my! Shicken did not disappoint and I’m so happy I took the plunge and ordered a medley of products (possibly because I just couldn’t make up my mind what to try). Of course, I then had the slight ‘what if it’s crap’ panic but I really didn’t need to worry. The butter curry is absolute heaven, the creamy sauce is amazing and the tikka kebabs have gone down a real treat (and can be air fried too). I have no idea how shicken have managed to make something that is not only so tasty but pretty healthy too. To top it all it gets delivered in a cool bag (with ice) well packed box ready to pop in the freezer. I’m a total convert!

We love Shicken. The food is great and delivery is always quick. Now that they have expanded their range there is even more choice. The curries and kebabs are excellent with plenty of flavour. The Pilau rice we tried for the first time last night and that was also good. Looking forward to trying the Curry Rolls. With them being local to where we live it is also great to buy from a local business. Will definitely be ordering again soon.

...meat for me has not been an option for 15 years and Shicken is the best alternative i've tasted. After a health scare 9 years ago, i gained 2 stone... I have been trying to lose the last bit with high levels of protein. It's been hard as I love veg... I have been using Shicken for a month now, no more bloated stomach, lots of protein in gorgeous food. I have just had butter curry with the protein rice (40g of protein in 1 meal without even trying - winner), added a small naan as a side as your curry is flowing with sauce. Only got halfway through and was totally full. Never even touched the naan... I am really happy that your meals fill me up and stop me wandering off track. Customer for life here. ❤️
